Things to avoid:
Medicine, alcohol and caffeine. For at least three days, you should avoid taking any of these products to reduce the risk of heightening the sensitivity of the injected areas and to not tamper with the metabolising of the filler.
Any activity related to extreme heat or sweat. This includes being under the sun for long periods and going to the sauna or gym. These activities can also affect how the fillers metabolise in your body.
Too much movement or strenuous activity. For chin and jaw augmentations, in particular, it's important not to move your injected areas too much to give the fillers time to settle properly in your face. This includes washing your face immediately after your procedure—you should wait at least six hours. When wash your face, make sure to use gentle motions and to use products that can help keep your skin looking healthy and hydrated.
Things to do:
Stay hydrated. Drink lots of water for the first few days of treatment as this will quicken the healing process. Cold water could also help in easing the post-procedure swelling. Also, it's nice to be hydrated, in general!
Eat clean. As stated above, it's best to stay away from processed foods and instead eat food loaded with vitamins and minerals to aid in the healing process.

The downtime for getting jaw fillers is minimal. Small amounts of bruising can occur, which fade within two weeks after the treatment. Small amounts of swelling can also occur for the first few hours after the procedure, but it subsides within the day.
